Renewal and Sales Order Specialist

Redwood City, California

Based in our headquarters in Redwood City, Rundeck is looking for a self-starting, responsible, highly-motivated Renewal and Sales Order Specialist who can work to ensure the high renewal rate of our existing customer base, identification of opportunities for upsell, and to help process new orders closed by the WW Sales Team. Your ability to drive business process, sustain and renew subscriptions, and effectively manage your time will contribute to our mutual success.

This position is a prime opportunity for someone looking to launch their career with a growing start-up.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ability to research original business transactions and details to prepare accurate renewal documentation.
  • Generating customer renewal proposals for both end users and resellers with a goal of delivering all renewal quotes a minimum of 90 days advance of expiration.
  • Own and manage the renewal process for assigned customers, meeting or exceeding assigned sales objectives and quotas for renewal business.
  • Continue regular communications to follow up on renewal opportunities, and ensure renewals stay on track.
  • Answer customer sales questions around renewal ordering and contract resolution.
  • Work closely with WW Sales Team to escalate any upsell opportunities.
  • Track deals through paperwork revisions.
  • Review contracts and order paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure customer orders are processed in an efficient and timely manner. While processing orders, you will work to maintain effective communication with other individuals and departments as necessary.
  • Accurately enter deal information into Salesforce.com, ensuring the integrity of customer, order and renewal information.
  • Additional Order Entry tasks/projects, as needed.

Skills Needed:

  • The successful candidate will have sound administrative and organizational experience blended with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be organized, detail and process oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Google Docs.
  • Ability to use Salesforce.com or CRM solutions and other on-line tools effectively.
  • Ability to manage a number of client situations simultaneously.
  • Prior experience with Order Entry, Sales Operations, Renewal Operations or Deal Desk is helpful.
  • BS/BA or equivalent preferred

Full Stack Software Engineer

Remote or Redwood City, California

You will work with the core product development team and help design and handle the technical implementation for the Rundeck OSS core, Rundeck Pro Enterprise features and related plugins.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and implement components, systems, and APIs for new features
  • Assess and fix bugs
  • Iterate and enhance the UX for an existing or new feature
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Understand user concerns and needs
  • Manage feature development with technical debt collection

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to write clear and concise code
  • Strong Java background
  • Web technologies and frameworks such as Rails, Nodejs, Grails

Community Success Engineer

Remote or Redwood City, California

Community Success Engineer takes the lead in helping new and existing Rundeck open source community members achieve success with their Rundeck usage. You will be a key liaison between the broader Rundeck community and the internal Rundeck Team. You will use open source community and social channels to answer Rundeck questions, facilitate conversations about Rundeck, and point community members to Rundeck content of interest. You will also work with the Rundeck product team to provide insight/feedback on community reactions to Rundeck features and new developments. We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in rolling up their sleeves to solve problems and help people.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain expertise in Rundeck features and usage
  • Daily interaction with Rundeck open source community channels (google group, irc, github) to provide quick and informative answers to users with Rundeck questions
  • Daily interaction with social channels (Stack Overflow, Twitter, Reddit, etc.) to provide quick and informative answers to users with Rundeck questions
  • Assist users in creating and promoting Rundeck plugins and other community integrations
  • Reproducing Rundeck bugs and/or testing new Rundeck integrations being discussed by Rundeck users in open source community or social channels
  • Work with the broader Rundeck team to define or create reusable solutions (documentation or product/plugin enhancements) to improve the getting started and user experience of community members

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Rundeck user experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Shell Scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)

Senior Manager, Marketing Operations

The Opportunity:

Do you like creating heroes? We do. Rundeck is the champion of the unsung heroes of modern business – IT Operations. We want to serve our customers (and employee-owners) better by ensuring that we know what makes them tick (and click), which events they attend, and why they buy, then turn it into improved customer interaction.  We need you to help us find this data, and share it with our growing team, as the founding leader of our Marketing Operations team. You will report to the VP of Marketing and work with the marketing, sales and product teams to define the tools and processes needed to take Rundeck to the next level. The data you deliver is a vital component of our continued success.

The Job:

  • Manage all aspects of our marketing technology stack, including HubSpot, Salesforce, DiscoverOrg, Google Analytics, and Zoom, plus recommend new tech. 
  • Manage and maintain the connection between SFDC and HubSpot – ensuring high data quality, expedited lead flow, and proper campaign tracking. 
  • Support marketing and customer success teams in their optimal using of marketing technology to drive lead generation and customer loyalty and success. 
  • Use HubSpot to build and execute marketing campaigns—including campaign flows, email creation, developing dynamic content and complex nurture streams, landing page creation, form creation, webinars, lead scoring, etc. 
  • Establish, optimize, and evolve measurement and reporting on multiple attribution and tracking models for marketing KPIs including: lead lifecycle, conversion rates, ROI attribution for first touch, multi-touch and last touch, and a variety of cost metrics. 
  • Analyze campaign data and market insights to identify key drivers for improvement.

  • Proven success at using marketing technology to drive growth and improve execution across the company
  • A love for analytics and keen eye for detail. Spreadsheets and dashboards are your best friends. You can pull stats and data unlike any other.
  • Goes without saying, but we’ll say it: excellent written and oral communication skills. You need to independently build campaigns, create presentations to share marketing stats, and communicate process to others on the team.
  • Juggler: Keep all the balls in the air. You need A+ project management skills. Maintain relationships with team members across the company. 
  • Great teammate: There’s no I in team and there’s no I in Rundeck. We are a small start-up with no time for glory seekers. We need a producer who can jump right in and make a difference for the Rundeck team.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience with HubSpot with at least 2 years in an administrator role. HubSpot certification preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing operations or similar operations functions (e.g. Sales Ops, Business Ops) at a technology company
  • B.A. or related work experience
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of B2B marketing best practices and trends
  • Demonstrable track record of success in a marketing operations role
